We grew up in a time where it took 40 floppy disks to install one game. We know how to be patient.

  1. Oh Chris. They are just too young to understand. :)

  2. While were on the “I remember”…I do remember a few games that had floppy’s on them, but the one that I remember was getting Doom 2 for Christmas and my dad telling me that we needed a bigger hard drive and we were going to have to upgrade to 40 megs or 100 megs or something like that and we’d probably never need anymore hard drive space…little did we know!

  3. The only game I had on floppy disk was Star Wars Chess. It was awesome.

  4. I even had games that were on Tapes and loaded f o r e v e r. Some pirate radio stations broadcasted bips and bleeps that were actual games that we could record. That was magic for 10 year olds :)

    • LOL wow. Good times!! And to think that today I get annoyed at typing in my password for the app store on my phone right before I download a 40MB game in less than half a minute.

  5. Doom is the first game that came to my mind when I read this!
