I’m excited to announce that yes, finally, Standard Theme v3.0 is releasing this coming Friday. I couldn’t be more excited and over the next few days this week we’ll sharing a few candid thoughts from each of the co-founders about how the last few weeks (and months) have been as well as giving you our own unique perspectives on things.
Each of the founders are very different but we all share a number of similar things and our goal this week is to share some of that with you. We want to be a different kind of WordPress company, one that’s approachable, real, and very accessible.
There are a lot of companies that you engage with and interface with every single day and we don’t want to be like them – that is, we want to be remembered for more than just our products and services; we want to be remembered as a team that you got to know, as best as you could, who delivered you a solution.
We’re excited because this is going to begin the development of a slight pivot within and without our company – we’ll be spending a lot of our time with you guys, as we have been, listening and taking down notes (literally, perhaps!).
Again, thank you guys because without you guys we wouldn’t have gotten here! And for those new customers that are considering us – well, just reach out to any of us or even better, talk to an existing customer and ask them what their experience has been like.
I think the rest will just be details.

The last preview is awesome in itself, so I can’t imagine what’s in the final release

Small site critique – I assume this post was published on the 25th by the comments, so “this coming” Friday is June 29th, right? It can be frustrating to discern relative dates in a blog when the post publish date isn’t anywhere to be found. It wasn’t too hard to figure on this post (since ST3 isn’t actually out yet!), but in a post saying like “from launch until the end of last month, we had XX downloads”. Just a little something somewhere.
Yeah, … I admit it … I am absolotely psyched about the release Friday. I had a brain transplant scheduled but, this is wayyyyy more important than that so I’ll reschedule the surgery. Seriously though, YES, YES, YES! Dang, I feel like it’s Christmas …
Friday time! Will we be getting it before the weekend? Just can’t wait.
