A New Way To Capture Blog Post Inspiration

You know as well as I do that great blog posts start before you even approach the keyboard. They begin with significant life challenges. With weighty problems to solve. With an urgent need, or a mature discontent with the way things are. Yes, I think all great posts begin offline, well before any words are written.

It is from this eternal blogger’s dilema that #notes, our newest product, has been born.

The idea is this. You carry a folder of cards on your person at all times, and when inspiration strikes, write it down.

Great bloggers already have categories and tags in mind as they are curating posts. With #notes you can designate one card per category (or tag, or type of post, or what-have-you) to keep concepts organized. Since the note cards are collected in folders, and they’re not bound to a notebook, you are free to sort, order, and organize the cards into collections.

Of course we fully expect that once these get into your hands, you will use them to enhance your workflow. People are naturally inventive and we can’t wait to see all the ways people use #notes!

In fact, don’t forget to hashtag your pics when you tweet :-) . Take a look at what other people are saying too

We are crazy passionate about online publishing, and while #notes is a distinctly offline tool, it was built for online publishers! Make no mistake, this product was created to compliment Standard theme. The two are seriously connected and we fully intend to continue building tools for people like you.

  1. I can’t wait to get my hands on these bad boys :)

  2. Neat! Reminds me of Behances Action Cards, but more travel friendly, and better looking.

  3. Um, I think you’ve failed to distinguish how this is significantly different from a technology I already own, called #paper.

  4. These look really sweet. Looking forward to putting them to good use and posting pics.

I could see a blog concept based on photos of #notes used as posts. Sort of like a twist on @MichaelDPerkins blog TheHandwritten.com

  5. Nice job guys! Gettin’ me some now.

  6. Great idea. I always liked the idea of a pocket notebook but hated that they were all bound. Having the case be a folder is the key in my eyes. When I read a book, I use small flags to mark the important ideas so I can make notes later. Currently, I have a bookmark that I stick the flags to so they will always be available when I am reading. I can see combining that idea with #Notes to create an idea capturing machine

Now all you need are some business card post-it notes (small ones, like the Moo Minicards) in your #Notes folder and world domination is just around the corner
